Ipstones Cemetery Details

PUBLIC NOTICE

The following resolution was passed by Ipstones Parish Council on 22nd May, 1991: –

That relatives may choose to either

a) Have their graves level (this may be decided upon at any time) or

b) Undertake the maintenance of graves themselves, including the

provision of flowers and/or flowerpots. However, if, after
undertaking to maintain a grave the grave remains unattended for a
period of 12 months, the Parish Council will take appropriate steps
to resolve the situation, which could include levelling the grave.

 

It was further resolved by Ipstones Parish Council on the 12th June 1991 that : –

Ipstones Cemetery plan1) Only a headstone of a design and size approved by the Parish Council may be erected. The size of the headstone must be no larger than 762mm (30”) high by 610mm (24”) wide.

2) The size of the base stone must be no larger that 762mm (30”) long, 305mm (12”) wide by 102mm (4”) deep.

3) The plot number is to be incorporated in a place of discretion.

Regulations relating to the ‘Lawn Section’ (E & F on Plan) of Ipstones Cemetery

Ipstones Cemetery plan1. All graves will be required to be made level.
2. No additional vases, plants or flowers will be allowed on the grave. Vases should be incorporated on the memorial base stone.
3. Only a headstone of a design and size approved by the Parish Council may be erected. The size of the headstone must be no larger than 762mm (30”) high by 610mm (24”) wide.
4. The size of the base stone must be no larger that 762mm (30”) long by 305mm (12”) wide by 102mm (4”) deep.
5. The plot number is to be incorporated on the headstone or base stone in a place of discretion.

REGULATIONS FOR CREMATED ASHES PLOTS (in section C on plan)

The following resolution was passed by Ipstones Parish Council on 19th July, 2000:-

Ipstones Cemetery plan1. It was resolved by the Parish Council on 19th July, 2000 to set aside part of the Cemetery for the burial of Cremated Ashes

It was further resolved that

2. Subject to approval being given by the Parish Council, only a ‘flat slab’ style memorial, size 61cm x 61cm by 5 cm high (24” x 24” x 2” high) will be allowed in this section of the Cemetery.

3. That the plot number is to be incorporated in a place of discretion.

4. That ‘reserved plots’ will not be allowed in this part of the cemetery.

REGULATIONS FOR NEW CREMATED ASHES SECTION

Ipstones Cemetery plan(in Section F on the Plan) (Adjacent to the Bier Shed)

The following resolution was passed by Ipstones Parish Council on 27 June 2012: –

• That only a memorial stone of a design and size approved by the Parish Council may be erected. The size of the memorial must be 20” (510mm) Wide by 14” (356mm) front to back (top to bottom). The height at the back of the memorial stone must be 4” (102mm) high slanting down to a lower level at the front.
• The memorial stone must be plain except for the lettering.
• One or two flower pots may be incorporated in the memorial stone.
• No extra flower pots, plant pots or other ornaments will be allowed on the plot or on the memorial stone.
• The Plot Number is to be incorporated in a place of discretion.
• There will be a gap of 6” (153mm) between each memorial stone/plot.
